What we now see on the church wall is another of the discoveries made during the last restoration. What had always been described as a tower window, turns out to be the former Romanesque church façade, which was dismantled on the north side as the Gothic works progressed and reused on the front of the tower that was also being built at that time. We had already seen this in the interior. Now we contemplate a Romanesque door with two border-plate archivolts, with decorated frieze and four columns in the jambs with capitals also decorated. A structure which in the early twelfth century was used to access the sanctuary and whose original location was discovered during the last excavations.

We continue onwards and cross a semicircular door to the next terrace. Once we get there press number 17.
