We discover the extrados of the three semi-dome vaults of the Romanesque apses. Here we do see, in particular in the south (or first one we find), the original voussoirs from the late eleventh century. We become perfectly aware of the volume, weight and mass of these irregular and ancient ashlars. And of the configuration of the extrados of a Romanesque semi-dome vault, in a unique point of view.

At the northern end of the level, from a metal railing we look out onto the perimeter passage that we will later walk along. We can also see the last great Gothic buttress attached to the Romanesque work. It remained forever poised for the Romanesque chancel to be dismantled.
We return to the tower by the same path which has brought us here. When we get there we shall pass the small door which we see in front of us. Watch out for your heads again. When stepping outside onto the exterior terrace press number 16.
